INDIANA “KATEK” BONES
I saw him wondering around my house in April 2009. Named him Indiana Bones because I was watching Indiana Jones the week I saw him. He was really a friendly dog and I fall in love with his funny face and funny character. Never fail to make me laugh. That’s why I made him DHR Jester. He’s a bit clumsy but can jump really high. He’s working on climbing the pack hieachry, without realizing he’s the second smallest after Flip Jack. I think he thinks he’s a grown up German Shepherd.

CHESTNUT
Chestnus is my Dr. Dog. She knows how to make me feel better everytime I feel down. She’s really good as a theraphy dog. Loves to cuddle and a bit of “couch potato”. She’s also the most proper, gives that “elegant” attitude… Until she smells fried chicken. Then she’ll go crazy.

FLIP JACK
The smallest of the pack, Flip Jack is actually the eldest, turning three in January 2008. A typical Jack Russell Terrier who weighs 18 pounds but thinks he’s a 180 pound dog. Whenever a fight breaks out in the klan, Flip tries to play referee but to no avail – but he gets points for effort. He runs like the wind and is a die hard fan of peanut butter and Greenies ®.

YUSNI GUSNI
She is the only girl in the group but also the most strong-willed and a little gangster at heart and also the most mischievous of the lot. When ever there’s trouble, Yusni is there on the double – most of the time having incited the rest to find an escape route. Alcatraz would have been a piece of cake for her. But she is such a beautiful girl with the most gorgeous brown eyes who just wants to have fun – which girl doesn’t huh?

CIKU SCHMIKU
The assistant pack leader, Ciku. It has been an educational experience watching him grow from a tiny two week old pup to an assertive pack leader. He tries to keep the rest in check by consistent growling which sometimes makes him come across as a grumbler. But he is such a joy to have and we are certain that he’s on his way to becoming a great assistant pack leader.

OREN GOREN
The clown of the family, Oren has this walk he does when he is excited or happy – he walks shaking his head and his bum. Both my partner and I have never seen this in another dog and he never fails to make us laugh. His favourite place to sleep is in a round blue bucket and that’s where he retreats to enjoy his favourite toy or bone. Of the three brindle boys, Oren is has the most orange on his coat giving him the appearance of a miniature tiger with upright ears.

ROSS JAWS
Ross is actually the baby and the quietest of the bunch. We were actually quite worried about him when he was found with the rest because he didn’t seem to be breathing. However, he has proven to be a fighter in more ways than one. His middle name is a result of a showdown with Yusni one Sunday afternoon where while trying to bite her, he instead bit my partner’s thigh.

But is truly a good-natured dog who is slowly coming out of his shell and adapting well thanks to long walks and play time plus affection. For the record, Ross was the last in the litter to make any sound. He finally gave us his first bark when he heard Diana Ross perform on the last season of American Idol.

GOLEK SCHMOLEK
The gentle giant of the entire clan, Golek weighs in at 22kgs at only 8 months old at the time of writing is truly a sweetheart. Always the first at the food bowl, Golek is also the owner of a sensitive stomach which was first discovered when he was only a month old. Originally named Fish because he seemed to love splashing away at the water bowl, he has been re-named Golek because that what he does a lot of since the age of three months. By the way, for the unitiated, Golek is a Bahasa Malaysia word which means “roll”.
